Bushcraft Overnight Camp

After our wonderful course earlier this year, an overnight course has been organised for October, places are very limited.

Accomodation is in two wonderful tepees, great food by the camp fire and previous activities have ranged from nature walks to knife-throwing!

Streamvale Open Farm

There will be a guided tour and talk to the kids all about making their ice cream. There are also loads of farm activities (although a few of them do cost extra).

Price will be £5 per child and this will include a mid morning break and an ice cream tasting session. Carers will get in for free and under 3's do as well.

Adult price is £5 as well (down from 6.50) and for every 4 children one adult will get in free - so if paying adults split the cost it will get cheaper depending on the total number.

Mask Making and Tour

November Mud Burrowing and Seasonal Activities

The dusty bottomed children will reconvene in the Wild Woods where the sun always shines... so far! Fun, learning and lots of nature. Bring food (or use the cafe) and full wet weather gear, an umbrella may be a good idea too. We will go ahead in all weathers.

There will be some sort of suitable seasonal activity, possibly tree-seed preparation, available.

Carnfunnock September Camping Trip

A few families have booked 2-3 nights camping in Carnfunnock Country Park and would love some company! They have lots of resources available and I hope to be able to explore the maze, play in the park, have a bug hunt, hug a few trees and get mucky.

"2 nights camping works out 27.50£ as its off peak time, obviously if you fancy coming along book for however many nights you want my aim would be we can hook up closer to the time and pitch nearby / next to each other if it suits.

The Family fun zone will be open on the Sunday and they have Treasure hunts, Orienteering, Maze, amd the Park open until dark all other days"

CSI Marble Arch Caves Visitor Centre - Carboniferous Sea Investigator for the day

Train to Derry to the park and Museums (Not Back To School)

We will be travelling on the train from Coleraine to Derry (it's a nice journey under the cliffs at Mussenden and along by the sea), we will walk across the bridge to the Train Museum, have a snack/lunch at the awesome slides park and then walk along to the walls and the Tower Museum which has good displays on the history of Derry and the Armada/Girona etc), a snack at a cafe and back over the Peace Bridge to the train station. It's a very manageable walk.

Anyone who wants to join us is very welcome, we'll keep the organisation loose and let people move at their own pace, organising to meet at different points as it suits us.

International Bog Day

Learn about bog habitats, learn how people hand cut peat, stories from days gone by in the bog, bog pool dipping, other fun interactive activities from all the family.
