We will be learning about different ways to make stop motion animation films. From plasticine to lego and also using ourselves to create stop motion animation.
There are various apps you can download to your smartphone or tablet. iMotion is an app that we have used with success.
Please bring a smartphone or tablet with a stop motion app. There will be extra's available if you don't have your own.
Consider beforehand how you will keep the camera steady for each shot. Small phone tripods are available from Amazon.
Meeting again for another wonderful time in the wild woods.
First half of the session will be a gardening activity (perhaps wildlife gardening?!) and the second half can be freeplay in the Wild Woods.
May include building some bird boxes, bug boxes, a bug hotel, planting flowers and veg in containers, fire, painting trees, marshmallows and getting dirty.
Bring a picnic, a change of clothes and wet weather gear - our run of good luck on the weather can't last for ever!
Playing in the 'Wild Woods' at An Creagán. Water, mud, fire, sticks, marshmallows and more mud. Bring a picnic and wet weather gear (wellies, waterproof everything, a change of clothes), we won't give up just because it happens to rain!
"I’ve booked you in for the 22nd April and the numbers are totally flexible. With the Wild Woods there is no guided programme, but I usually walk the group down and welcome them as we light the campfire and then it’s off to play. We normally put out pond nets, buckets and spades, den building materials, paints and maybe some other junk art stuff and the children are free to move around as they please and engage in whatever activities appeal to them – parents can stand back and supervise."
Aimed at 6-11 years, no charge but booking essential, contact us to be put in touch with the organiser.
