Portmore Lough RSPB

Some home educating families attended an excellent event put on for us by the RSPB today in Portmore Lough.   Despite the weather the kids had a great time pond dipping. They found newts, beetles, worms and much more.   

A workshop with Oxford Island

We spent a wonderful , inspiring, and educational day at Oxford Island , Lough Neagh.     We had an engaging presentation on the history and geography of Lough Neagh. We were also told about the animals, insects , fish and birds that live there.     We were introduced to habitats and food chains. We were also shown how birds and animals can have visible differences and features depending on their diet , where they live or their gender with the aid of some real life models (...
