On this page you will find two sets of guidelines. One set was issued by the Local Education Authority of Milton Keynes. These guidelines were produced after a lengthy consultation with home-educators within that LEA, and conform to both legislation and English case-law.

The other set of guidelines was issued by Belfast Education and Library Board (BELB). As far as HEdNI is aware, BELB did not consult with home-educators while creating these guidelines. HEdNI’s response to BELB’s guidelines can be found here.
